Crevasse Rescue Course

One-Day Course

Open to all

This 1-day Crevasse Rescue Course takes place near the Mount Baker Ski Area. Having direct access to large snowbanks by car cuts down on the time investment of hiking to a glacier and allows for education in a single day for those who are not able to attend a multi-day glacier course.

  • On this one day course, you will learn the best practices for crevasse rescue. We will go over many scenarios and you will have the opportunity to practice several rescues. You will learn how to complete a self rescue. Come alone or with your partners, and feel confident taking on glaciated terrain.

  • We will meet in the beautiful town of Bellingham and carpool to our practice area. We will be practicing in a very accessible area with less than one mile of walking round trip. Anticipate being in the snow all day.
